Programming Fellowships

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival invites applications for the third year of our fellowship programme for early career curators, film programmers and critics.

We are delighted to be offering 2 Fellowships to join the BFMAF programming team and contribute to the 16th Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival Programme.

The Fellowship fee is £2,000. Candidates should be eligible to work in the UK and UK based.

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival's annual Programme Fellowships were initiated in 2018. They strengthen Festival programming, address a lack of publicly advertised paid roles for film curators and proactively increase the diversity of our workforce.

Celebrating its 16th year, BFMAF is an artistically ambitious, accessible and inclusive organisation for artists’ moving image and new cinema. Based in North Northumberland it leads through collaboration and research which is underpinned by a resolute commitment to peer support, artistic production and sector development. It is sustained by its partners and the growing regional, UK wide and international audiences that it serves.

Recognised for its innovative programme and critical engagement, BFMAF presents artists’ and filmmakers’ work in the cinema as well as expanded formats of exhibition and performance.

The 16th Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival will take place from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 September 2020.
